Story Hour - ReUsed and UpCycled Stories about Clothing

Story Hour: ReUsed and UpCycled Stories about Clothing

Note: This webinar is intended for teens and adults.

Join storyteller Lee-Ellen Marvin for stories and conversation about the environmental impact of our clothes. She'll tell two traditional folktale tales, a World War II memoir, and anecdotes collected from EVI neighbors about reused clothing. What is the role of clothing in shaping our identities, and what's in our closets? What happens to our old clothes? What is the impact of "fast fashion" on our landfills and waters? Program will include:

• Listening to, sharing, and discussing stories about clothing.

• Slideshow of Ecovillage residents’ up-cycled clothes

• Recommendations for reducing the environmental impact of clothing

• A playful small group challenge
