Our mission

Thrive Ithaca EcoVillage Education Center shares the lessons of ecovillage living to inspire resilient and thriving people, communities, and planet.

Thrive’s vision is a world in which people actively care for each other and the planet.

The EcoVillage at Ithaca is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people (Cayuga Nation).  The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of the six sovereign Nations with both a historic and contemporary presence in this region. The Confederacy precedes EcoVillage at Ithaca, the Town of Ithaca, New York State, and the United States of America.

Thrive acknowledges the history of Indigenous dispossession from the places where we live, work, and teach. We hold deep respect for the connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands.
