Climate Resilience at EVI
We are joining ecovillages around the world as part of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN)’s Resilience program, to prepare for a 2.5 degree warming scenario. In 2025, we plan to engage in GEN’s comprehensive resilience assessment and launch programming to address gaps in our community and bioregion. Please reach out to us if you’d like to partner on this endeavor.
Current EVI residents are invited to a Climate Resilience Salon on Saturday, March 22nd from 10-12 in the TREE Multipurpose Room. Share your vision for a thriving, resilient ecovillage in 2050! Join us for a community dialog to assess EVI’s readiness for a 2.5 degree warming scenario, using resiliency metrics developed by the Global Ecovillage Network. Help shape a community-wide Disaster Preparedness Plan, a Land Management Plan, and more.
Join fellow ecovillage residents for a screening of The Week, a film and discussion about the polycrisis focusing on species extinction, pollution, and climate change. We will gather for three sessions to discuss the impact of these global crises and explore opportunities to bolster our resilience in community together. Limited to residents of the White Hawk Ecovillage and the EcoVillage at Ithaca.
Please plan to attend all sessions:
Sunday, Feb. 23, 2:30-4:30 (EVI Song Common House)
optional tour of EVI at 1:30pm
Sunday, March 2, 2:30-4:30 (White Hawk Ecovillage)

Saturday, March 8, 2:30-4:30 (EVI Song Common House)
