Conscious Communication: Introductory Workshop

Conscious Communication Introductory Workshop

with Corirose Benitez Anjali

Join this experiential workshop to unpack habitual communication, using awareness and curiosity to shift your focus from what’s wrong to what matters.

Conscious Communication includes all models and practices that help us express what’s important to us and at the same time communicate our care for others, to speak in a way that’s both honest and compassionate. In this workshop we’ll use the philosophy and model of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to practice tuning into the emotion and intentions under the information we share. We’ll explore the mechanics of compassion for ourselves and others as a “roadmap” for connection.

Developing Conscious Communication skills helps people to:

  • Listen to what matters to others.

  • Express what’s important to you and make clear requests.

  • Initiate difficult conversations with more ease and confidence.

  • Resolve long-standing conflicts and heal painful relationships.

  • Give and receive supportive feedback.

  • Authentically participate in collaboration and shared decision making.

  • Strengthen relationships by expressing and receiving gratitude.

This workshop is an opportunity to see if this practice is meaningful and supportive to you.

All levels of communication experience are welcome!
